NASHVILLE − Former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler is serving a four-day jail stint in Middle Tennessee this week after pleading guilty to a 2024 DUI.
Cutler reported to the Williamson County jail Monday morning on Sept. 29, in connection to an arrest last October in the Franklin, online records show. He is slated to be released on Thursday, Oct. 2.
The city is about 20 miles south of Nashville, where Cutler previously lived with his ex-wife, actress Kristin Cavallari and played for Vanderbilt University prior to his NFL career. He and Cavallari share three kids together.
Cutler pleaded guilty to driving under the influence in court on Aug. 26.

Franklin Police Department officers responded about 5 p.m. on Oct. 17, 2024 to the 200 block of Bridge Street in downtown Franklin for a report of a crash in which investigators said he rear-ended a blue GMC while driving a white Dodge Ram pick-up truck.
According to an arrest affidavit obtained by USA TODAY, Cutler allegedly offered the other driver $2,000 to not call the police.

"During their conversation with Cutler, officers noticed a strong odor of alcohol," police wrote in a statement. "Cutler was also slurring his words and had blood shot eyes."
Police reportedly found a rifle and a loaded pistol in the vehicle's center console. Cutler, 42, was initially charged with driving under the influence, possessing a gun while intoxicated, failure to exercise due care and implied consent.
He initially told the officer he hadn't had any alcohol, but soon admitted "he had a little bit," the affidavit said. He then refused a field sobriety test and was taken to a local hospital so officers could collect blood samples, the police statement said.
Cutler was booked and later released on a $5,000 bond.

The weapons possession charge was dismissed as part of the guilty plea, USA TODAY previously reported.
Under the deal, in addition to jail time, a Williamson County judge ordered the former Denver Broncos, Chicago Bears and Miami Dolphins quarterback to pay a $350 fine and forfeit his gun. His Tennessee license was also revoked.
