"Love Island USA" star Huda Mustafa has been temporarily ordered to stay away from her boyfriend Louis Russell's son after the child's mother accused Mustafa of making threats against them.
Nicole Olivera, the mother of Russell's 1-year-old son, filed a request for a restraining order against Mustafa in Los Angeles County Superior Court on March 12, according to court filings reviewed by USA TODAY.
Olivera, 38, alleged in court documents that Mustafa made threats against Olivera and Russell's son before taking an Uber to their home in Chatsworth, California on Feb. 21, around 1 a.m. local time.
When she arrived at their home, Mustafa, 25, allegedly "broke into the building threatening to knock down all our doors," Olivera wrote in the filing.
Mustafa also allegedly threatened her own life and her daughter's life, Olivera said in the document.
In response to the filing, a court officer granted Olivera a temporary restraining order against Mustafa. It requires Mustafa to stay at least 100 yards away from Olivera and her son until the case goes to court. A hearing is scheduled for April 3.
In a statement on her Instagram story, Mustafa wrote: "im aware of what's being said and it's not true, im handling everything the right way by letting legal take care of it. i appreciate everyone who continues to support me."
A source close to the situation denied that Mustafa threatened Olivera or her son and said the allegations in the filing are "baseless and exaggerated." They also said the allegations that Mustafa threatened her own child are "not only ridiculous but entirely false."
USA TODAY has reached out to Russell and Olivera for comment.
Court filing alleges '12 hours of terrifying and mentally unstable threats'

Olivera said the alleged incident occurred after Mustafa, who lives in Raleigh, North Carolina, flew to Los Angeles on Feb. 20.
"After about 12 hours of terrifying and mentally unstable threats against her, her daughter & my son's lives, she Ubered to where my son & I live and broke into the building uninvited (obviously)," Olivera alleged in the document.
The document indicates that the police were called because of the incident, but they did not issue an emergency protective order.

Olivera said she was "mentally & emotionally in fear for my son & my own safety." She also alleged in the filing that Mustafa has harassed her via social media messages.
Russell was also at the scene when the incident occurred, Olivera wrote.
In response to whether Mustafa had been made aware of the request for a temporary restraining order, Olivera wrote, "my son's father has informed her that her actions have called for a restraining order."
Huda Mustafa, Louis Russell known for stints on dating reality shows
Mustafa is known for appearing on "Love Island USA" Season 7 in 2025. A breakout star of the season, Mustafa made headlines for her explosive relationships and meme-worthy moments.
The 25-year-old made it to the finale with basketball player Chris Seeley, but the pair called it quits before the end of the show.
After her time in the villa, Mustafa sparked dating rumors with Russell when the pair walked hand-in-hand at a movie premiere on July 31.
They made their relationship social media official shortly after, and appear to still be together. Russell most recently posted a photo of the pair on his Instagram story on March 16 with the caption, "My (queen emoji)."
Russell is also no stranger to the reality TV scene. He previously appeared on Netflix's "Too Hot To Handle" and "Perfect Match."
The couple hasn't been without controversy.
In October 2025, Mustafa and Russell came under fire for their reactions to a fan using a racial slur toward Mustafa's "Love Island USA" co-star Olandria Carthen.
During a social media livestream, Mustafa and Russell answered a phone call from an unknown individual who used a racial slur in reference to Carthen. The pair, seemingly taken aback, laughed before ending the call. Mustafa later apologized to Carthen.
