Jayne Trcka, the bodybuilder and fitness model known for playing high school gym teacher Miss Mann in* Scary Movie*, died Dec. 12. She was 62.
A representative for the San Diego Medical Examiner's Office confirmed Trcka's death to **. A cause was not disclosed, as Trcka's death is still pending investigation.
Trcka's death was first reported by TMZ. Law enforcement sources told the outlet that her body was discovered in her San Diego home following several attempts from a friend to get in touch with her. Authorities were eventually contacted and first responders arrived on the scene, where they pronounced Trcka dead.

An actress and professional athlete, Trcka was born Feb. 27, 1963, in St. Paul. She studied gymnastics and other sports, and began weight training in 1986. She went on to compete in numerous bodybuilding shows, and by 1998 quit her full-time postal carrier job to focus on a career in fitness training. Trcka went on to appear in several fitness magazines, including *Flex*, *MuscleMag International*, and *Women's Physique World*.
"Bodybuilding wasn't an instant decision," Trcka told Bodybuilding.com in a 2004 interview. "It just kind of followed a progression of stages. Competing in my first competition and placing first and also getting coverage including the back cover in *Woman's Physique World*. That lead to my second show. Placing well and loving competition and performing kept me going."

Trcka expanded her career into films and television beginning with the horror spoof *Scary Movie*, which hit theaters in 2000. The comedic turn led Trcka to book additional roles in titles including 2002's* The Black Magic*, 2003's *Nudity Required*, 2003's *The Interplanetary Surplus Male and Amazon Women of Outer Space*, and 2006's *Cattle Call*. She also appeared in several commercials and guested on shows such as *Whose Line is It Anyway?* and *The Drew Carey Show*.
In her later years, Trcka worked as a realtor in California.**
