Ex-Prince Andrew’s arrest incident has caught everyone’s attention, including attorneys. Recently, a famous US divorce lawyer shared his thoughts on the former Duke of York’s situation in an episode of the “Legally Us” podcast. He claimed that nobody would want to be in Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s shoes at this moment. For those unversed, the 66-year-old was arrested at his new home at the Sandringham Estate on his birthday. He was interrogated for 11 hours on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

US attorney ‘glad’ to not be Ex-Prince Andrew’s lawyer for this reason

Being ex-Prince Andrew’s lawyer seems to be quite difficult at this time, a US attorney claimed. James J. Sexton told US Weekly in an episode of the outlet’s podcast, “Legally Us,” that nobody “wishes” to be the former duke at this moment. “This is a very difficult situation, and I’m certainly glad I’m not his attorney because that is a very, very challenging case that’s presented against him,” he claimed.

On February 19, Andrew was in police custody for 11 hours after his sudden arrest. He was accused of sharing confidential information, which was reportedly related to his past scandals. For those unversed, his controversies have allegedly led to his dismissal from his Windsor home, Royal Lodge. Before that, King Charles stripped him of his royal title and duties.

According to Sexton, Andrew has allegedly been “out of the graces of the royal family” because of his controversial deeds. On top of that, the shocking arrest has seemingly made things more difficult for the king’s brother.

“It’s certainly something that any attorney looks at and says, ‘I would not want to try to make a meal out of those ingredients,’ because it is not a favorable one for him, and it’s a good one for the prosecution,” Sexton shared. Earlier, a report claimed that Ex-Prince Andrew could allegedly step down from the royal line of succession. He could reportedly take this bold move to reduce infamy.
