Sharon Osbourne is continuing to support Black Sabbath months after her husband's tragic passing.
The TV personality, 73, recently took to social media to share with the iconic metal band's fans that she is protesting the release of early Sabbath recordings, a move that is being spearheaded by former manager Jim Simpson.
Her post is in response to a Friday, Nov. 14 press release by Simpson that claims legal ownership of the demos, and Sharon goes into thorough detail in her recent post to dispute such claims.
Also enclosed in the businesswoman's Instagram carousel of screenshots is a copy of an email she says she sent Simpson on July 2, urging the ex-manager not to release the early Sabbath recordings.
“As you know, the Band do not want these tapes released, not least as they haven’t heard them despite you saying you would provide copies long ago,” Sharon writes in the email, per the post on Saturday, Nov. 15. “You know that, as a band, Black Sabbath don’t take things lying down and you can be assured that if you go ahead with this against the Band’s wishes we will take any action where their rights are infringed, both here and in America.”

In June, it was announced that the demos Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward recorded in 1969 — when they still went by the name Earth — were to be released under the title Earth: The Legendary Lost Tapes, according to NME. The new release is being overseen by Simpson and was supposed to happen in July — though it hasn't happened yet. But that hasn't stopped Sharon from continuing to put up a fight.
Earlier this week, Sharon made headlines when she and her kids Kelly Osbourne and Jack Osbournefired back at Roger Waters after the Pink Floyd musician, 82, made controversial remarks about Ozzy on The Independent Ink.
“That leads me on to somebody who is not special, that is probably one of the most twisted, sick individuals I’ve come across in years,” Sharon said on The Osbournes Podcast.
