‘SNL’ Shares Bloopers From Connor Storrie’s ‘Accent Duel’ Sketch

Is it Saturday night yet?!

Ahead of Connor Storrie hosting this week’s episode of Saturday Night Live featuring musical guest Mumford & Sons, fans were treated to a hilarious sketch titled “Accent Duel,” wherein Storrie, 26, faced off with SNL cast member James Austin Johnson.

Fellow SNL cast members Ashley Padilla and Marcello Hernández called out the accent prompts, from Italian to Shakespeare, but to no one’s surprise, Johnson, 36, just couldn’t compete after Storrie whipped out his Russian accent à la Heated Rivalry’s Ilya Rozanov.

While the sketch was no doubt hilarious, the bloopers released on Friday, February 27, are just as good! Storrie does a mean impression of Gordon Ramsay, SpongeBob, and even Shrek … as a Southern woman.

Of course, fans flooded the comments with praise and excitement. “Oh, we’re being FED this week. I love it,” one user gushed via TikTok. “This had me cheesing so bad! Love him,” added another.

“I’ve never looked forward to an episode of SNL this much,” a third user chimed in, while a fourth echoed, “Connor was made for this!”

The question remains, however, will fans be blessed with a cameo from Storrie’s Heated Rivalry co-star Hudson Williams? According to some online sleuths, he was spotted in New York City ahead of the episode, but that hasn't been confirmed.

Either way, all of his HR co-stars fully support this major milestone in his career. "Hudson’s literally my best friend, François [Arnaud] is one of my best friends, they’re so excited for me,” Storrie told Entertainment Tonight.

The question remains, however, will fans be blessed with a cameo from Storrie’s Heated Rivalry co-star Hudson Williams? According to some online sleuths, he was spotted in New York City ahead of the episode, but that’s yet to be confirmed.

Storrie’s episode of Saturday Night Live airs on Saturday, February 28, on NBC at 11:30 p.m. coast-to-coast. The episode also streams simultaneously on Peacock.
