Steven Spielberg, Richard Dreyfuss, and John Williams reunited this week
Their reunion came a little over 50 years after the debut of their iconic blockbuster Jaws

It was a reunion a long time coming for Steven Spielberg, Richard Dreyfuss, and composer John Williams as the three were pictured together at the dedication of the John Williams Stage at the Hollywood Bowl on Nov. 11.
Dreyfuss shared a photo of the trio on Instagram, writing, "Congratulations John! It was great to be there with all of our friends to celebrate you at the dedication of the John Williams Stage at the Hollywood Bowl. Love ya, pal."
The Los Angeles Philharmonic announced the naming of the venue’s iconic stage in honor of Williams and a private dedication ceremony marked the new name.
The honor came just months after Jaws — for which Williams, 93, composed the score — turned 50 years old.

The blockbuster film, which was directed by Spielberg, 78, follows the small fictional town of Amity Island as it is rocked by a series of brutal great white shark attacks.
Dreyfuss, 78, plays marine biologist Matt Hooper who — along with Police Chief Martin Brody (Roy Scheider) and professional shark hunter Quint (Robert Shaw) — embark on a mission to destroy the shark and save the town.
Spielberg recently opened up about how making Jaws was so stressful to film that he thought the ordeal would land him a Best Director nod at the Academy Awards.
As the filmmaker recalled in National Geographic's documentary Jaws @ 50: The Definitive Inside Story, "When a film is on the cusp of being considered for awards, it's not so much what you want for yourself — it's what everyone else says is going to happen for you," Spielberg said. "So I just understood, 'I guess I'm getting nominated.' "

He added: "So when I wasn't, I was surprised. And I was disappointed. Because I was believing the noise, and you have to not believe that stuff."
Despite Spielberg missing out on a Best Director nomination, Jaws was nominated for four Oscars in 1976 and won three, only missing out in the Best Picture category.
Williams took home Best Original Score for his iconic music, while the shark thriller also clinched trophies for Best Film Editing and Best Sound.
