- *The View *cohosts collectively slammed Tucker Carlson after the conservative commentator apologized for supporting Donald Trump.
- Carlson said he's "sorry for misleading people" with his advocacy for Trump.
- "Oh, please," Joy Behar said, while Sunny Hostin quipped, "Whatever, I don't believe him."
*The View* cohosts aren't buying controversial media personality Tucker Carlson's recent apology for "misleading people" with his support for Donald Trump.
Tuesday morning's episode saw the Hot Topics table turn up the heat on the former Fox News star, who, on a recent installment of his *Tucker Carlson Show* series, attempted to make amends after his years-long work advocating for Trump.
Moderator Whoopi Goldberg introduced the discussion about Carlson by asking the audience, "Do you know who just lost one of his biggest supporters over the ongoing war in Iran? Far-right commentator Tucker Carlson says he regrets ever helping put you-know-who in the White House," the Oscar-winning actress said, before the show played a portion of Carlson's mea culpa.

In the footage, Carlson said that "everyone who supported [Trump]" is now "implicated in this for sure." He added, "It's not enough to say, 'Well, I changed my mind' or, 'This is bad, I'm out.' It's very small ways, but in real ways, you and me and millions of people like us are the reason this is happening right now."
He continued, "I do think it's a moment to wrestle with our own consciences. We'll be tormented by it for a long time. I will be. And I want to say I'm sorry for misleading people. It was not intentional."
As soon as the clip ended, Joy Behar quipped, "Oh, please," while former federal prosecutor Sunny Hostin brushed off Carlson's words, telling the panel, "Whatever. I don't believe him. He's not getting a bear hug from me. The world's on fire, and you can't just say, 'Oopsies!'"
Behar jumped in to say she felt Carlson had "what they call liar's remorse" and criticized what she said was sympathetic coverage of the Jan. 6, 2021 insurrection at the United States Capital.

"He's lied about everything, so he needs to make a list of all the things he got wrong — not just, 'Sorry!'" Behar said.
Sara Haines firmly pushed back on Carlson's apology, telling her colleagues that he'll "say anything" to generate "clicks and money" for his platform.
"It does not matter what they're saying," Haines said, pointing out that he recently associated with controversial personality Nick Fuentes and "also interviewed Russian president Putin [and] let him spread propaganda and did not push back."
"That man just needs to disappear," Haines stressed, ahead of former Trump White House staffer Alyssa Farah Griffin condemning Carlson as "vile" and "dangerous" for rhetoric he's spewed in the past.
"I don't think this is a true about-face," Griffin observed, noting that she felt his apology is "about clicks and money."
Behar wrapped up the segment with a final assessment, expressing that she felt Carlson had a "pathological need for relevancy" and characterized it, in her opinion, as a "psychological disorder."
