A familiar face has returned to the Wizarding World. **

Tom Felton, who starred as the silver-haired Slytherin Draco Malfoy in the *Harry Potter* films, made his Broadway debut in* Harry Potter and the Cursed Child *to thunderous applause on Tuesday.**

In a clip from the performance (above), Felton appears onstage next to his once-foe Harry Potter (John Skelley) and manages to utter only a single — yet, *very* *memorable* — word before receiving a standing ovation from the entire Lyric Theatre audience.**

“Potter!” Felton shouts. “I need a favor!”

Harry’s surname is something that Felton’s Draco often snarled, spat, and snapped throughout his many appearances in the *Harry Potter* films, from their childhood years in 2001’s *Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone* all the way until 2011’s *Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2*. **

Thankfully, the pair get a chance to reevaluate their contentious bond as adults over the course of the* Cursed Child*. The Tony award-winning play, which was originally told in two separate installments, was later condensed into a single act play in 2021 after it was revised by its creative team during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Back in June, Felton announced that he would be stepping back into Draco’s shoes for a 19-week limited engagement from Nov. 11 until March 22.**

"It's very much a pinch-me kind of situation," Felton said on *Today* at the time. "I keep thinking I'm dreaming. I let go of that character 16 years ago, and now I'm getting a chance to step back into his shoes — as a father this time — in a new story. I get to meet Draco as an adult, which is very exciting."

With the achievement, the 38-year-old actor becomes the first *Harry Potter *film star to make the leap from the silver screen to the Broadway stage. **

“It’s such a huge part of my childhood, it’s like me going back to high school,” Felton added. “I’ve been very excited to share this news. I’ve had to keep it under wraps for quite a while.”

That same month, Felton also addressed whether Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling's social media comments, which many have deemed transphobic, had any impact on his stage return.

"No, I can't say it does, I'm not really that attuned to it," he said. "If anything, I remind myself I've been lucky to travel the world, and I've not seen anything bring the world together more than Potter, and she's responsible for that, so I'm incredibly grateful."

*Harry Potter and the Cursed Child *picks up 19 years after the events of the final *Harry Potter *book as the children of Harry, Ginny, Ron, Hermione, and Draco attend their very first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Along the way, unexpected friendships are forged as the kids find themselves facing off against their very own world-ending threat.

In addition to Felton and Skelley, the production also stars Rachel Christopher as Hermione Granger, Daniel Fredrick as Ron Weasley, and Trish Lindstrom as Ginny Potter.
