Nicole Kidman is busier than ever after filing for divorce from Keith Urban.
The Oscar- and Emmy-winning actress-producer has no less than six television series coming soon, including a return to the A-list ensemble drama Big Little Lies. Plus, Kidman will reprise her role from the 1998 film Practical Magic for a sequel with Sandra Bullock.
On Tuesday, Sept. 30, Kidman, 58, filed for divorce from country musician Urban, 57, after 19 years of marriage.
The actress, who shares two teenage daughters with Urban, had a jam-packed 2024 with her onscreen appearances: She led the limited series Expats and The Perfect Couple, reprised her role on Paramount+'s action series Lioness, lent her voice to the animated Netflix film Spellbound, and starred in films A Family Affair and Babygirl.
So far in 2025, she headlined the thriller movie Holland, and revisited Nine Perfect Strangers for a second season. She told The Hollywood Reporter in March that this year is "actually not as crazy" and that she'd get to be "off for the rest of year."
Read on for what we know so far about the projects she has coming next.

Jamie Lee Curtis has already been singing the praises of working with Kidman on this series, in which the two play onscreen sisters. The mystery-thriller stars Kidman as Chief Medical Examiner Kay Scarpetta, who "returns to Virginia and resumes her former position with complex relationships, both personal and professional — including her sister Dorothy (Curtis), with plenty of grudges and secrets to uncover," per a synopsis.
Scarpetta will stream on Prime Video, which already ordered two seasons in September 2024, based on Patricia Cornwell's book series.

Girls and Their Horses
Author Eliza Jane Brazier's 2023 book about the competitive world of showjumping is getting the TV treatment for Prime Video. The project reunites Kidman with her showrunner from her hit Netflix series The Perfect Couple.
Variety first reported the project in June 2025, sharing the logline: "A murder-mystery set in the beachside equestrian community of Rancho Santa Fe, California, Girls and Their Horses follows the newly wealthy Parker family as they aim to position their teenage daughters in the rarified, sometimes-deadly world of competitive horse riding."

Nicole Kidman and Elle Fanning on Nov. 15, 2021Discretion
Kidman will once again team up with Elle Fanning for this legal series set in Dallas from The Husbands author Chandler Baker, Deadline and Variety reported in September 2025. Acquired by A24, the show is based on an unpublished short story.
Fanning and Kidman worked together on the 2017 movies The Beguiled and How to Talk to Girls at Parties, plus they both star in the upcoming Margo's Got Money Troubles series.
In 2020, Kidman praised Fanning to Marie Claire, saying the young actress "has such a well of emotions that she can use; it just sits at her fingertips. Her skin flushes, her eyes light up, her voice changes, her body moves in such a way. She’s sort of like Leonardo DiCaprio, where she’s just had extraordinary talent since the moment she was born."
Kidman continued, "I think she’s been raised with an immense amount of love, which has given her a unique self-confidence. She’s so easy to talk to and be around — and when I see her, I smother her with kisses because she’s so yummy."
