Will House of Guinness be coming back for another round?

House of Guinness — a Netflix period drama from Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight which premiered on Sept. 25 — follows the four adult siblings of the famed Guinness family.

Members of the 1860s clan include Arthur (Anthony Boyle), Edward (Louis Partridge), Anne (Emily Fairn) and Ben (Fionn O’Shea). Their father, beer baron Sir Benjamin Guinness — the grandson of the founder of the Guinness Brewery, Arthur Guinness — has died, and their futures will now be determined by their father's will.

“Here’s a deceased father deciding the fate of his children. The will determines the trajectory of each of those siblings," Knight told Netflix's Tudum in September 2025. "What’s a better place to start a drama than that? They all receive whatever they receive. None of them are happy.”

Death is just the beginning for House of Guinness, as beer-soaked scandal and drama unfolds for the siblings over the course of the series' eight episodes, ending with a shocking cliffhanger.

So, is there going to be a season 2? Here's what to know about the future of House of Guinness.

"House of Guinness" season 1.

House of Guinness has not yet been officially renewed for season 2. All eight episodes of the first season dropped Sept. 25 on Netflix.

Speaking to Tudum, Knight said he used the Guinness family's "achievements they made, mistakes that they made, and use them as stepping stones," while creating the first season, citing the lack of some historical information.

"Then I had to fill in the gaps myself," he explained. "It’s just a question of saying, ‘Here's the character that I imagine this person is. This is why they did that.' "

House of Guinness hasn't been officially renewed for a second season, but that hasn't stopped Knight from dreaming about what's next for the Guinness family.

"In a perfect world, I’d like to take it on all the way into the 20th century," Knight told ScreenRant in September 2025. "These things are not being announced, this is not decided. But if you look at even a cursory glance at the history of the Guinness family, they keep throwing up these dramas."

The family members "keep making these mistakes" and "keep doing these wonderful things," he continued. "There’s enough material there to keep us going all the way."

According to the Irish Mirror, at a September 2025 screening of House of Guinness, Knight spoke about the future of the series, saying, "Yes, of course. We are going to do season two, and three, and four. Yes absolutely, we are going to do this all the way to the 1960s."

Series creator Knight wants to return for a second season of House of Guinness, and the cast seems game too.

Anthony Boyle, who plays eldest son Arthur Guinness, told the Mirror in September 2025 that he would "love to" do a season 2.

"I think the scripts were amazing and I really enjoyed the cast and directors," the actor continued. "I loved it, I love the end product. It's a show I'm really proud of and if they wanted to go again I'd be overjoyed."

"House of Guinness" season 1

House of Guinness season 2 would continue the saga of the Guinness family siblings, including Arthur and his political ambitions — if he survives, that is.

The first season ends with a bang — literally, with Paddy Cochrane (Seamus O'Hara) firing his gun while Arthur is giving a speech.

The episode cuts to black before it is revealed who or what is Paddy's target, but in real life, Arthur lived for decades longer, dying in 1915, per TIME.
