It's toys vs. tech in the first teaser trailer for *Toy Story 5*.

In the short clip, Bonnie (who first became the owner of the toy crew in *Toy Story 3 *when Andy went to college) gets a package, and all of the toys are unnerved by its contents. Slinky Dog is shaking as Rex's teeth chatter. Forky covers his eyes, and Knifey looks on in horror. Mr. Potato Head takes one for the team and removes his wife's eyes, while Jessie, Bullseye, and the aliens all similarly look shaken.

When Bonnie excitedly opens her box, it's revealed to be a green, frog-shaped tablet that introduces itself as Lilypad. A subtitle asks, "The age of toys is over?" The last thing we see is Buzz and Woody holding each other in fear.

At the end of the last film in the long-running animated franchise, Woody decided to leave his toy friends and stay with Bo Peep, but as the teaser shows, he's been reunited with his pals once more. Pixar's chief creative officer, Pete Docter, previously explained Woody's return during an appearance at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in June. "Woody is called back to help," Docter teased. "But it's been a while since they've all seen each other, and he and Buzz don't always see eye to eye."**

Per a release, Lilypad is described as "a high-tech, frog-shaped smart tablet voiced by Greta Lee that makes Buzz, Woody, Jessie, and the rest of the gang’s jobs exponentially harder when they go head to head with the all-new threat to playtime."

It was recently announced that Conan O’Brien will also join the voice cast as the toilet training tech toy Smarty Pants, and Ernie Hudson was announced as the new voice actor playing Combat Carl, who was voiced by the late Carl Weathers in *Toy Story 4*.

Alongside the cute teaser trailer, Disney also debuted the first poster for the film, below.

Director Andrew Stanton and co-director Kenna Harris said in a statement, “It’s been a hilarious and poignant journey exploring how our favorite team of legacy toys might respond to today’s world of technology, and we’re thrilled to share this first glimpse with audiences. Having the remarkably talented Greta Lee bring Lilypad to life — balancing a playfully antagonistic tone with humor and heart — has been incredible.”
